Strawberry Orange Gin Fizz

This cocktail is a refreshing and fruity twist on a classic gin fizz, without any added soda or tonic water. To make it, you'll need: - 2 oz gin - 2 oz fresh orange juice - 1 oz strawberry simple syrup* - Ice To make the strawberry simple syrup, combine 1 cup sugar, 1 cup water, and 1 cup sliced fresh strawberries in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring to dissolve the sugar, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool, then strain out the solids and store in a jar or bottle in the fridge. To make the cocktail, add the gin, orange juice, and strawberry simple syrup to a shaker with ice. Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds, then strain into a chilled glass filled with ice.
