Strawberry Basil Gin Fizz

- 1.5 oz gin - 3 fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced - 4-5 fresh basil leaves - 3/4 oz fresh lemon juice - 1/2 oz simple syrup - 2 oz soda water Instructions: 1. In a cocktail shaker, muddle the strawberries and basil leaves until well mashed. 2. Add gin, lemon juice, and simple syrup to the shaker with ice and shake well. 3. Strain the mixture into a highball glass filled with ice. 4. Top with soda water and stir gently. 5. Garnish with a strawberry slice and a basil leaf and serve.
