Fir & Flora

This cocktail is a refreshing blend of earthy and floral flavors, with the unique addition of fir tree needles. To make it, you will need: - 2 oz gin - 1 oz fir needle syrup* - 1 oz fresh lemon juice - 1/2 oz elderflower liqueur - 1/4 oz lavender bitters - Sprig of fresh fir needles, for garnish To make the fir needle syrup, combine equal parts sugar and water in a saucepan and heat until the sugar dissolves. Add a handful of fresh fir tree needles and let steep for several hours. Strain out the needles and store the syrup in a jar in the fridge. To make the cocktail, combine all the ingredients except the fir needles garnish in a shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into a glass filled with fresh ice. Garnish with a sprig of fir needles and enjoy the forest-inspired flavors!
