Marigold Margarita

This tequila-based cocktail features a unique marigold element that adds a touch of floral sweetness to the classic drink. Ingredients: - 2 oz tequila - 1 oz fresh lime juice - ½ oz agave nectar - 1 oz marigold syrup* - Salt for rim Directions: 1. Rim a glass with salt and set aside. 2. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine tequila, lime juice, agave nectar, and marigold syrup. 3. Shake well and strain into the prepared glass over ice. 4. Garnish with a fresh marigold flower or lime wedge if desired. *To make marigold syrup: In a saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar with 1 cup of fresh marigold petals. Bring to a boil and stir until the sugar dissolves. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes. Strain the mixture and allow it to cool before using.
