Description
Ingredients
1 1/2 oz gin
1/2 oz elderflower liqueur
1/2 oz fresh lime juice
1 oz pear puree
2 oz sparkling wine
1/4 oz crème de violette
for garnish edible violet flower and mint sprig
Instructions
1. Begin by chilling a coupe glass with ice and water before you start mixing.
2. In a cocktail shaker, add the gin, elderflower liqueur, and lime juice.
3. Add the pear puree followed by ice to fill the shaker halfway.
4. Shake well until the mixture is chilled (about 15 seconds).
5. Discard the ice and water from the coupe glass to prepare it for the cocktail.
6. Double strain the mixture into the glass, ensuring a smooth, pulp-free cocktail.
7. Top the drink with chilled sparkling wine.
8. Gently add a dash of crème de violette, which will naturally sink and create a lovely purple hue at the base of the cocktail.
9. Garnish with an edible violet flower and a small mint sprig to mimic elements from a bohemian garden.
10. Serve immediately and toast to Mike and Jessica's everlasting love.
