This East-meets-West twist on the classic Margarita celebrates the earthy, nutty notes of Raksi whiskey, perfectly balanced by vibrant citrus and a touch of spiced sweetness. Ingredients:
- 2 oz Raksi whiskey
- 1 oz fresh lime juice
- 0.75 oz orange liqueur (like Cointreau)
- 0.5 oz honey-ginger syrup (equal parts honey and water with a hint of fresh ginger, simmered and strained)
- Pinch of Himalayan pink salt (optional for rim)
- Lime wheel and candied ginger, for garnish
Instructions:
1. Rim a rocks glass with lime juice and Himalayan pink salt, if desired.
2. In a shaker, combine Raksi, lime juice, orange liqueur, and honey-ginger syrup with plenty of ice. Shake vigorously.
3. Strain into the prepared glass over fresh ice.
4. Garnish with a lime wheel and a piece of candied ginger.
