Celestial-inspired cocktail with layers of colors and a smoke effect

Instructions

Description: The Cosmic Fog is a celestial-inspired cocktail that transports you to a different galaxy with its enchanting layers of colors and a smoke effect that resembles the ethereal beauty of a nebula. This drink combines the sharpness of gin with the tartness of citrus and the sweetness of berry liqueur, finished with a touch of effervescence and a cloud of aromatic fog for an otherworldly experience. Ingredients: - 2 oz Gin - 1/2 oz Blue Curaçao - 1/2 oz Chambord or any other black raspberry liqueur - 1 oz Freshly squeezed lemon juice - 1/2 oz Simple syrup - 1 Egg white (optional for a frothier texture) - Tonic water to top up - Dry ice for the fog effect (optional, and handle with care!) - Edible silver star sprinkles for garnish (optional) Glass: Serve in a chilled coupe glass for elegance or a highball glass for a longer drink. Instructions: 1. In a cocktail shaker, combine the gin, Blue Curaçao, Chambord (or raspberry liqueur), lemon juice, and simple syrup. If you're using an egg white for foam, add it as well. 2. Dry shake (without ice) vigorously for about 15 seconds if using egg white. This emulsifies the egg white and creates a smooth, frothy texture. 3. Add ice to the shaker and shake again until the mixture is well-chilled. 4. Strain the mixture into your chosen glass, leaving room at the top if using a highball glass. 5. Gently top up with tonic water to create a layered effect. 6. For the fog effect, using tongs, carefully place a small piece of dry ice into the drink just before serving. Ensure you instruct your guests to wait until the dry ice has completely dissolved before consuming the drink. 7. Sprinkle a pinch of edible silver star sprinkles over the drink for a cosmic finish. Note: Always handle dry ice with care and ensure that it is fully dissolved before drinking. Do not ingest dry ice chunks, and do not touch dry ice with bare skin.
